Ellada – Giorti – Gefseis

Fancy discovering delicacies from all over Greece and having a fun-day for all the family? This event is not to be missed!

Ellada-Giorti-Gefseis, liberaly translated “Greece-Festival-Flavours” is a multi-level festival which aims at turning the spotlight on Greek alimentary products with certified quality as their shared characteristics. It is organized by Athinorama, the only Athens city guide since 1976.

It will take place in HELEXPO Exhibition Centre, Kifissias Avenue, Maroussi between the 5th and the 7th of December. The venue has been chosen for its convenient location, ease of access and parking facilities.

Ellada-Giorti-Gefseis, has claimed its place as the most original, qualitative food festival in Greece. Triggered by the demand of both visitors and exhibitors, it is hosted twice each year: The spring event in Technopolis, Gazi, is a celebration where quality Greek culinary scene meets intellectual culture through a wide range of happenings (music, street theatre, artistic interventions etc). The winter event, held before Christmas, comes at the time when most consumers seek to bring the best to their festive tables. Ellada-Giorti-Gefseis Christmas 2014 is the fourth event in the series.

Only producers whose products have been tried and approved by the expert tasting team of www.athinoramaumami.gr and are considered adequate in terms of quality and entitled to participate in the festival.

In the forthcoming event, 120 top quality producers from all over the country will present their wares for the discerning visitor to taste and buy: traditional and creative deserts, cheeses, cured meat, wines, liqueurs, local beers, roe, mushrooms, aromatic vinegars, smoked and marinated fish, herbs, dried and fresh fruit, salts, spices, honey, jams and marmalades, chocolate, coffee, pasta – to name but a few!
